The Outsiders - Johnny (Ralph Macchio) says it to Pony Boy (C. Thomas Howell) as he is dying. It is in reference to a poem they read while in hiding from the police. Excellent movie, saw it many times when it first came out. My friends and I were obsessed with it.

The words "Stay Gold" was said in the 1983 movie, "The Outsiders." It was said by Ralph Macchio, who played Johnny in the movie.

The Outsiders, and the opening song had those words in it. Maybe Ponyboy or Johnny said it.
