i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

Early Monday morning I was watching his documentary and he was playing around with dangerous animals at the Outback. Was thinking that this dude has some balls...swinging around poisonous snakes and getting up and close with creepy spiders. A strange coincidence and utter shock that on that same evening I learnt that he had passed on!
The love between his wife and him was captured so well in that docu....prayers to his soul, his kids and his loving wife. An irony that he was not killed by any poisonous or viscious animals but from the stingray's barb which pierced his heart! Perhaps someone could set up an on-line tribute *** condolence book for this courageous man as condolence to his wife and kids and to show them how much the world appreciates(we still do) him!

I join with you in sending my condolences and best wishes to his family, friends, and the people of Australia. But while it is a great great loss, we must also appreciate and learn from the fact that he died doing what he loved most.
You were and will continue to be an inspiration.
Thank you and rest well Steve Irwin.

You can go to Animal Planet's website and leave messages of sympathy for Terri and the children under 'fan forums' for "Crocodile Hunter". I read that those messages would be passed on to the family.
Please, if you go and do so, be sensitive and kind.
Anything to do with animals aside, if you ever saw footage of Steve with Terri and the children, it was obvious that this husband and wife loved one another very much and adored their children.
My heart breaks for Terri and the little kids.

I am devastated. He taught my children and myself so many things that we would have never known about animals just doing what he loved to do best.
I am sure if Steve were here he would say he wouldn't have had it any other way. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, coworkers, and many fans.
He will be missed.
Thanks for the info on going to the Animal Planet website and leaving our thoughts. We loved you, Steve. RIP

it is going to likely be unhappy whilst a human existence is lost in spite of stature.
