I would think he would be qualified, the only thing I see that they might require is some type of education certificate. Some community colleges are more lenient than others, but some require some sort of education courses before teaching.

The very minimum is a 4 year degree with secondary teaching courses. The students that want to be a teacher usually followed a program is already set up that way. Since your husband already have and MBA, may all he needs to do is to apply or may be take couple course in that field to satisfy the requirement for teaching.

i think of which you're ignoring the middle floor right here. on a similar time as community college artwork is solely coaching and repair not all 4 365 days institutions have a heavy analyze concentration. there are a number of liberal arts and baccalaureate faculties that are by and vast coaching centred. To earn tenure you like basically 2-4 printed paper and powerful coaching. The bonus of those varieties of places is they have a much extra suited coaching load than community faculties. community college artwork is particularly confusing artwork. you have an particularly severe coaching load (4-5 courses in keeping with term), scholars who lack stable skills and coaching, and rather a pair of times circumstances you would be coaching decrease point courses than are taught in HS. yet at a liberal arts college you would be coaching a great form of courses (few if any could be remedial). the scholars will with the help of and vast be prepared and maximum of them might have a stable physique of recommendations. Plus you will basically might desire to tutor 3-4 courses in keeping with term tops. you will even have the prospect to have extra high quality interactions with your scholars. i will communicate with my scholars approximately a number of my analyze and that i will communicate with them approximately grad college, new jobs, and different thrilling issues. i does not get any of those issues if I have been coaching at an area college through fact my scholars does not have an interest sufficient to return to workplace hours and that i probably does not have my own workplace at a CC besides.

He should have no trouble securing a job at a community college. Good luck to him, we need more good teachers with "life-experience."

FYI--Most universities require a PhD to be full faculty....and a Masters if you are interested in being adjunct [part time].
