Saying I love you
Is not the words I want to hear from you
It's not that I want you
Not to say, but if you only knew
How easy it would be to show me how you feel
More than words is all you have to do to make it real
Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me
Cos I'd already know
What would you do if my heart was torn in two
More than words to show you feel
That your love for me is real
What would you say if I took those words away
Then you couldn't make things new
Just by saying I love you
More than words
Now I've tried to talk to you and make you understand
All you have to do is close your eyes
And just reach out your hands and touch me
Hold me close don't ever let me go
More than words is all I ever needed you to show
Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me
Cos I'd already know
What would you do if my heart was torn in two
More than words to show you feel
That your love for me is real
What would you say if I took those words away
Then you couldn't make things new
Just by saying I love you
More than words

It can be interpreted far more innocently. First of all, it's a song of love, not sexual intimacy. Without words, it's easy to convey love. Especially if you have the view that love is a verb, not an adjective and that love is best shown by what you do in service of love. Daily: I dress my daughter in the clothes that I earned money for and shopped carefully for. I feed her breakfast that she likes, that's good for her. I clean the breakfast dishes. I stand outside with her when she gets on the bus and wave to her until she's out of sight. I try to tackle my business during her school hours so that I'm not taking up family time. I anticipate that it's been a while since she ate so when she gets off the school bus, she'll be cranky (low blood sugar) and want something to eat and drink right now. I'll ask about her day, tell her I love her, ask what she has planned for the afternoon, ask after homework, help when she needs it. I fix a dinner that I shopped for, planned, that is nutritious and tasty. I run a bath for her, wash her hair, pull her jammies from the dryer because warm jammies feel soooo goood after a bath. We read together. Cuddles and goodnight kisses. All of these things are done with love and communicate it without words (except when I tell her I love her). Some are the necessity of parenthood but are not separate from love. And this is a portion of what I do for ONE person in my day. There is also my husband and my in-laws and my friends and my family of origin. Love is communicated on far more profound levels than the verbal and the sexual.

the beauty is in the eyes of lookers. you can feel the songs as you like or how that suits you. for me, it's quite a pure song saying that instead of words, i'll prove it to you and more meaning than sex.

Its means exactly as what you see.
Its more about the feeling, I'll say.

There are more songs out there that implicates sex and this is not one of them.

the basis of the song is simple saying I love you is not always enough.... they are just words... but you are right it sounds rather sexual but its all in the interpretation of the listener

I think it is innocently spoken - Being in love can be very innocent; very enduring and sincere...
