Say what? What does the U.S. Constitution have to do with another 9-11 terrorist attack? What does that have to do with my Civil Liberties? I will not give them up for the fight against terrorism. Talk about a Civil War if the Feds ever suspend the U.S. Constitution! You have an excellent point. I also find this very worrying!

It was a great Constitution but the American people were just not up to the challenge of protecting it. Maybe at some future time human rights and limited government could be tried again in a population that cares about its rights. I am sorry so many people suffered and died to establish the former US Constitution and to protect it for the ungrateful selfish fools who let Big Government flush it down the toilet.

Whilst the constitution is a very old document and is misinterpreted in many ways (People seem to think the constituiont states that they must own guns) it dose keep the freedoms of its people intact. The constition cannot be taken away and not replaced as this could lead to the formation (it may be unlikely) of dictator ships down the line. But heck, no president gives a damn about it just recnetly bush has been trying to tap international calls (obviously un-constitional) and he didnt care.
I found the ditiching of the constition unlikely (many army memebers hate the document) there would also be much uproar about its demise.

I don`t ,if another 9/11 happens we need to have the freedom to root out the terrorists anyway we can .It might be a temporary inconvenience but life is more precious than the protection of the terrorists.
I'm sure our founding Fathers didn`t have this kind of battle in mind when they wrote the Constitution .
We need to amend and update it periodically ,don`t you think ?

if there is another event that is as or more deadly than 9/11, people will be freaking out and the gov will have to do something

I have never heard this, but it would be a very bad idea. And I cannot believe that it would ever happen. They'd have a revolution on the hands in a hurry!

I think that piece of paper his highly overrated. You can't have it both ways. Something has to change. There's just too much corruption in this world to keep it the way it is. The world has to be managed better than it has been. Where are the Cyborgs? God bless the New World Order?
