There are several different versions of the Toyota Corolla. If you live in the United States, the best one is a GT-S, which is rear wheel drive, fuel injected, and has pop-up headlights. The Corolla SR-5 from the same years has the same body style but a less powerful engine. Both of those are what's known as AE86's. And the other Corollas, believe it or not, are completely different in both styling and mechanical bits; they are front wheel drive - it's like they are two separate models. Very few people bother trying to soup the front wheel drive ones up.

Most of the ones on that site are AE86's, including some with foreign market front ends that lack the flip-up headlights. The Corolla on this page is an example of one that isn't an AE86.
