I'm suprised those bozos could find the battery. If the water bottle is in the way, remove it. Get you a new battery somewhere else and buy some jumper cables and put them in the trunk.

Get a new battery! Jumpstarting is dangerious. Diagonal brace and windshield washer tank are on top of the battery And the battery even then is hard to get up and out. Go by Auto-Zone Wall-Mart buy a new battery get it installed and have the charging system tested all at the same time. Become a self starter again...for less than you expect!

Jump starting any car is needed only because of other problems. Fix those problems and you don't have to jump the car anymore!

Only three items affect this...

1. Alternator
2. Battery
3. Connections, i.e. dirty or damaged

Also... you only have to connect one cable to the battery during a jump... the positive one. The other one can, and should, connect to a metallic point on the chassis. The negative terminal of the battery is physically connected directly to the chassis... electrically the same connection.

Good luck!

Get you a new battery and have them install it. Walmart sells good brand of batteries. also check the water level in your new battery every 3 months. put corrosion inhibitor on the terminals when you have it installed. Usually the windshield water tank is only held in place with a couple of bolts this is easy to remove to access your battery.

If its a side post battery they make extenders to slide over the posts and raise them or slide to enable you to jump them.
but if you are having that problem often have your battery checked may need to be replaced
