NOTHING, no matter how healthy it is, is good for you in large amounts. Salmon is an excellent fish that is full of Omegas and good stuff to help you stay healthy, but it is also very fatty.
MY RECOMMENDATION to you, if you are truly interested in a proper diet is to start with learning what the PORTIONS are in the foods that you are eating (For example: Did you know that one portion of meat is the size of a regular deck of playing cards? That one portion of cheese is the size of your pinky?). Once you know your portions, go take a look at the Food Pyramid. http://www.ohsu.edu/healthyaging/caregiving/images/food_pyramid.gif
Notice the 8 ounces of water, and the 2 servings of MEAT, BEANS, EGGS, and NUTS. This pretty much should tell you an all salmon diet will not be good!

I read that a diet of 'all salmon' or any other diet where you have to eat only one type of food is unhealthy. We have to get minerals and vitamins that are in other products as well.Salmon is very healthy as a product, but i wouldnt suggest an 'all salmon' diet

salmon is low in fat and has a lot of omega 3 fatty acids in it which are not fat but an amino acis, which can help brain funtion and such...you need to eat it with a veggie(broccoli or green beans) and a small starch(carbohydrate) like corn or peas or a small ammount of rosted potatos, for a balanced meal
