I feel really sad. He was really a nice guy and i loved his show. When I was younger I watched his show "Croc Files" and I loved his theme song. He was great. It just blows my mind that he died. He was so young, only 44. I wonder how his wife and kids are right now . They must be devastated. His wife always was with him on his croc hunts. I feel bad for the kids since they lost their father at such a young age. But I guess Steve Irwin probably wouldn't wanted to have died any other way. He was out in the ocean when he died doing his job. He will always be remembered in my heart.
RIP Stephen Robert Irwin

I'm bummed out, too. What separates him from Tim Treadwell is that Irwin actually knew about the animals he was studying, and not plagiarizing what others had written. He also passed on that knowledge to others.
True, Irwin did put himself unnecessarily in harms way. As a father, he should have started showing a little more personal responsibility for his own safety because, once you become a parent, your life is not just your own, but your children's as well.

It is sad. I feel badly for any child who grows up not knowing their father. At least his wife and child are provided for.

Really though, I think everyone knew that he would meet a bad end at the hands of one animal or another.

Yes, it's very sad for his wife and children. But he died doing what he loved, hopefully that gives some comfort.

Yes, butin a small way it was coming for him because in his shows he was doing dangerous things that would have gooton out of hand if he wasn't a good animal trainer. He ushed his luck and is now paying the price.

No, I don't think it is terribly sad. He takes risks. The inevitable finally happened. That's a lifestyle he chose. Unfortunately, it caught up with him finally. I like the guy, really, but I'm not going to let it ruin my day.
