Not usually. You have to put yourself through a trade school (pharmacy tech. school). They'll put pharmacists through school, but that's because they need them more then the technicians. There is a shortage for pharmacists.

You know, instead of wasting the $9,000 (that's what it is an Arizona anyway) and almost a year in school to become a pharmacy technician, you can study on your own and take the test. That's what I did. The summer after I graduated high school I studied all three months and then took the test in September to become certified and passed. All I had to pay was the $300 for the certification test. Get some good technician books from a book store. Get a good pharmacy background and helping the pharmacist book and a good math book and study. It's one of the best things I've ever done with my life. Good luck to you!
