I'm saddened and speechless

I enjoyed his shows on discovery and he really started making shows on wildlife documentaries interesting and fun even if the topic was boring... I mean - who'd watch an hour or 2 hours of crocs and critters back then? It is a big loss to environmentalists and to the future generation because he started a trend that is now being imitated by alot of documentarists. I hope the next batch of documentarists do not take big risks like he did in his shows. He will be sourly missed by me and my kids. Our prayers to his lovely wife and children.

Im taken aback too. however the only good difficulty approximately his dying is that he grew to become into doing what he enjoyed doing. yet, i think of he died way too youthful. And to Glimlach, he died on hard artwork Day 2006 interior the super Barrier Reef, on an identical time as taping a video underwater, he have been given stung with the help of a stingray interior the middle. with the help of the time he have been given to the medical institution, he had exceeded.

YES, Steve Irwin died when the sting-ray barb went under his rib cage and went into his heart. He was a good man and father to his two small children and a
fine husband to his American-born wife.

I just heard about it on Yahoo. Strange and shocking, but given the way he lived, not very surprising--come to think of it, he always seemed on the verge of suicidal. The shock partly comes from it not being a croc that killed him, but a freak accident with a stingray.

i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

Yes, it's sad... and this is for shelby, what you said is past stupid... even if he held his son close to the crocs, that doesn't mean that he deserved death for his risk taking. I am happy that he was able to bring the animal world to the human world without us having to get bitten or stung or whatever... Rest in peace, Steve Irwin

What hurts me so much is the ammount of uniformed answers about him on numerous posts, He was a great guy! Seriously great, HE IS A LEGEND, if he wasn't our prime minister wouldn'tve have been tearing up when making a speach for the man,
God bless him xx

ohh its such a shame, he was a fine bloke and i feel like i have lost a close pal. even before i called australia home, back in india i used to watch his shows and looovvve him for his passion and dedication to save animals. my husband was very upset by the fact that its so unfair that something that he chose and fought to preserve was a cause of his death. may his soul rest in peace. i will sure miss him.. :(

My heart breaks for Terri and their children.

Anything to do with wild animals aside, it was obvious to anyone that had ever seen footage of Steve with his wife and children that they ADORED one another.

yeah...it's really sad. I mean I guess it's not a "bad" way to die for him. He died doing what he loved to do...It's just sad that it happened all together..and that he was WAY too young
