They didnt remove the filibuster after the democrat minority used it repetitively as the only option to stop the will of the majority from making majority decisions.

They delayed human stem cell studies from using viable embryos until a healthier way to start a stem cell lines without destroying the human being were discovered.

They had a remarkable response to 9/11 and I thank God they were in power then. Nobody knew what was going on, but they were able to figure it out, and then have the best responses. I will never forget when President Bush said "now is the time to heal the wounded, and save the dying, but there will soon come a time for justice" and "anyone who is not with us is against us". Any other response is, in the eyes of the middle east, a tacit admission of guilt and a tacit permission for future attacks. That hard response was truth, it was exactly what the american heart needed, and it was exactly what the world needed to hear.

I think that the President and Congress made the best decision they could with the best knowlege they had when we went into Iraq. Hindsight tells us the intelligence was incomplete, and the situation on the ground isnt enviable, but I am comforted by knowing I have leaders who do the best they can with what they have. I am comforted by the fact that the business end of Al Queda is fighting the business end of the best equipped best trained army on the planet instead of fighting the most overweight civilian population on the planet.

You can beat your chest and spout your particular political ideas. When I think about what they did, sure there are things they could do better, but there are a ton of things they could have done a whole lot worse and didnt.

Well.....I can't say anything about the 12 years of Republican congress but as for Bush Junior I think he's done a great job of achieving...
1) Making 'Terroism' a household name
2) Using Islam and the Muslim world a scapegoat
3) Hiding the fact that Israel is not a real country but a Regime that is occupying Palestine
And that's just with regards to foreign policy.
