Do they have the right to protest against our laws? Do they have freedom of speech, the same freedoms granted legal American citizens? Are they only allowed human rights(the right to not be physically abused, the right to food and water, etc)?

They have the same legal protections, such as free speech, etc. However, they do not have all the same rights, such as welfare, social security, etc. There are plenty of legal rights that are limited to citizens, however the constitutional protections apply to everyone in the USA, legal or not.

They have some of the same rights. Mainly because most of the "rights" listed in the Bill of Rights are not limited to citizens. They are restrictions on government action, and that restricts the government regardless of who the action is against.

So, all of the 1st, 4th, and 6th Amendment protections apply equally well to illegal immigrants, criminals, enemy combatants, and anyone else because they are not rights -- they are limitations on what the government itself is allowed to do.

Other actual rights, including those granted by federal law or Article IV, apply only to citizens, so those are not available.

unlawful immigrants could have the comparable American rights and freedoms as electorate. the rationalization that they crossed illegally is via the United State's broken gadget. unlawful immigrants have crossed maximum of obstacles and risked their lives for a greater appropriate existence. there are maximum of ignorant people who do no longer see this warfare. aside from that, lots of the immigrants pay taxes, even merely going out to the keep they pay taxes. They make a contribution fairly to the economy contained in the U. S.. They do a great style of the exertions maximum electorate does no longer do. If that isn't sufficient to get the comparable rights electorate do, i do no longer understand what's.

I'm not sure what an illegal immigrants rights are. But if they have the right to everything those of us who are wither legal or citizens have, what is the benefit to following the laws?

In order to collect anything from our government, they should have to get a real job and pay taxes just like the rest of us. If their kids go to our schools they should have to pay taxes in the form of school taxes or income taxes. If they are illegal, they don't pay into any tax base unless they shop in stores that follow the rules.

First guy said it right, if they are on our soil then yes, they have certain constitutional rights. Not as many as legal citizens though, but they can even sue a person without ever having to mention that they are illegal (in civil court only).

Ok royphil, she asked a question and some of us gave an answer that is a fact. Not our opinions, other then that, I just see people saying "No, because it's not fair!! waaaa!" Those are opinions, see the difference?

Nice rant there...are you okay? Do you need a breathe of fresh air? Did you even read her question? I mean all of it, her elaborations. In fact did you even read my answer? Illegals have the same *constitutional* rights as we do. Bill of Rights ring a bell? Some rights they do not have, that is common sense.

I saw the last sentence you wrote, and decided the rest of that rant was not worth reading. How pathetic are you? Stalking me, and rating all my questions? Even giving me a thumbs down on that question was pathetic, are you 12?

Oh you must be an adult, god only knows all adults are on the neverending quest to find out how to be a "butt ninja."

Also, I know what Facism is, I learned that in school. When you get out of grade school, you'll learn more about life, don't worry.

You're obviously not worth anymore of my time, being a 15 yr old stakler with too much time on your hands. So, have fun insulting a stranger, to make yourself feel better, awww, so sad.

They shouldn't have any right cause they are not here legally. If they where legal and went through the process of our fore fathers before them and any real citizen here. Then they could have the same right as all of us here.

By law?... Heck no!!!

Most of the answers here make me sick. You people deserve to have your country, jobs and wealth taken from you. Unfortunately, the few people who see what's going on have to go along for the ride and fear for their future generations.

They are FOREIGN INVADERS. They legally have the right to be captured or shot and that's about it. FACT.

Has a native race ever done well after a mass immigration of another?

Wake up people!!! There is NOTHING noble about sacrificing your own children's future to assist ILLEGAL invaders. It's SICK. These invaders are only being allowed in to be used as financial weapons against the American worker and increase the profits of big business. Wages have already decreased in many lines of work due to the hiring of illegals. There are more illegals than jobs. Crime by illegals is a HUGE problem. FACT. They make up the largest group in our prison population. FACT. We pay for that. NOT the folks saving money by hiring them and getting tax breaks.

James P...

The question was... "Do illegal immigrants have THE SAME RIGHTS AS AMERICAN CITIZENS?"

I said... "Heck no!!!". WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!! You said in your own answer they don't have the same rights as an American citizen!!! That is a legal FACT. Not my opinion.

So... Why are you specifically naming me and picking a fight about something you're so OBVIOUSLY wrong about. Are you a complete idiot??? Sure looks that way!!! Your attitude sucks. You may just end up being sorry you screwed with me without cause.

Constitutional rights are for American citizens. Non- citizens have some rights. ILLEGALS (that IS what the question was about) are CRIMINALS AND INVADERS. They have the legal right to be arrested and deported. You're a joke... and a fool...

Did you read your own answer? You said they have "certain" Constitutional rights. NOT the same rights a citizen has. Are you that inept you don't even know what you wrote? Or are are you just stooping to lying and twisting the truth in order to try and win the argument? Are you changing your answer to say illegals DO have the same Constitutional rights as a citizen? If so, you're mistaken. You can't win. What you said was dead wrong and you know it. So... Screw off... Loser... Illegals DO NOT have the same Constitutional rights as a citizen. FACT. You're nutz and a traitor if you believe otherwise... Specifically challenging my answer when you still can't invent a real reason was just foolish, rude and immature.

Hmmm... 6% best answers... Not tooo impressive, I must say...

I see you are a fan of cartoons. Why don't you go watch some and let the grown-ups discuss the important issues...

You said... "So, have fun insulting a stranger, to make yourself feel better"

Who did that ??? You had no reason to attack my correct answer and take personal shots at me. You still haven't come up with one you stupid freak!!! That's what this is all about!!! F' off, you stupid, rude, freaky little loser!!!

They have the right to "get outa Dodge", and come back in LEGALLY, if they want to be here so much. Otherwise, they have the right to live and breathe and be rounded up and tossed out on their collective assses. God Bless you.

No.
They are here illegally. They clog the system for those trying to come over here legally and cost the taxpayers millions each year.
