The only real difference is whether or not the attention is welcome, and unfortunately, you never know until you try.

Flirting is a harmless come-on, with conversational innuendo and facial expressions. (A lost art). Sexual harassment involves touching but also not being aware that the other party is only flirting. Probably 90% of the time you can stop sexual harassment getting really nasty. For the other 10% women shouldn't get themselves into situations on the car park. When all else fails don't forget you've got knees.

Sexual harassment is when the conversation becomes too personal or directly relates to sex or the human body. When a person senses that there is a strong desire to have an intimate relationship, then you can be sure that sex is desired. The desire for a close personal relationship may not necessarily be harassment, as two people must come together at some point in order for a relationship to be established. The intent of both parties is the key. If one party resists while the other is persistent, then harassment is involved.

Flirting is when the recipient enjoys it and is giving some positive signs in return.
Sexual harassment is when a person persists regardless of signs that say 'No'.
Sadly some men are not good at hearing (or seeing) the signs, so they persist in ignorance of the effect they are having.
Men have a duty to learn sensitivity and respect for women.
Guys, you will be much more successful if you do!

If both people are involved as much as each other then that I guess is flirting, but when someone hounds or sexually intimidates another person, they may feel uncomfortable about it, then its sexual harassment! Hope that's helped! XX

original bubble got it right!!!!
Or if one is flirting and the other has asked the flirter or harraser to stop but the harraser or flirter doesnt stop.
If you feel your getting hassle, tell the person straight, to stop. if it continues then complain to managment. If someone is doing wrong try to get witnesses to back you up, dont feel awkard about what somone else is doing wrong, just get it sorted.
Most times if you talk to the person and tell them you would like them to back off, they will. If they dont, then take others advise and do things in the correct manor, that way you'll look good to your employer and the person will hopefully learn that they are over the top and think twice with the next person.

Flirting is fun and non serious and both parties are ok about it, sexual harrassment is when one party goes too far with flirting and it crosses the line, either by invading someones personal space or touching them in a private place.

That seems pretty obvious. Flirting is fun, as long as it is welcomed. If the person who initiates the flirting is told that it is unwelcome, he/she should stop. If he/she does not, it is harassment.

flirting is with respect and slow while sexual harassment is by force and intimidation -- disrespectful sexual action.
