OK all you nice people who answered my last question with, just love yourself..... how do you do that?!

I know all my flaws and faults and failings, I hate them. I appreciate that perfect people are annoying and as much as I'd like to be perfect and I work hard to be perfect, I understand that this isn't the answer.

I can only judge myself by what others say to me and how they react to me. I just feel as if I'm 'wrong' all the time and that I'm annoying people and that they just wish I would go away.

Surround yourself with people who love you and nurture those relationships. Get rid of the ones who disrespect you and make you feel bad.

Have a career you are good at and excel in, so you can feel proud of yourself for that success- and have people respecting you for it.

Take care of yourself, eat well and excercise, a healthy body equals a healthy mind and is excercise will get rid of a lot of this stress and nervous energy.

Share your feelings with those you are close to- if you are upset because of something you dislike about yourself, I bet there's plenty of people you know harbouring the same feelings. You'll feel much better knowing that you aren't alone, and that someone you love and admire can feel that way about themself too.

If there are people that don't like you, forgive yourself for it and don't try and overcompensate. Plenty of people don't like me, and for no apparent reason, but I just look at my friends and think if I were any different, they might not like me as much as they do. And I care more what they think because they know me. And remember, we are ALL human. We all say stupid embarrassing things sometimes and annoy people. When you feel like someone finds you annoying, I can assure you that someone, at some time, has found them annoying too. Find someone to laugh about these things with, someone who understands you enough not to judge you for it.

You can never go wrong being yourself- most people aren't natural crowd pleasers and will never be "perfect" and worshipped by everyone- and there's nothing wrong with that.

Also, please remember the harder you try to be perfect, the more self-aware you become, and the more unnatural you're going to act. So relax. Assuming your flaws aren't anything criminal, I'm sure you're fine as you are. Being comfortable in your own skin is a very attractive quality, and no one finds that annoying.

If you believe that what others have to say about you, then you have no identity of your own and I am not certain anyone here can help you...
Make a list of all those things that you have accomplished in your life and be proud of those accomplishments. That will get you started.
Then, make an appointment with a therapist. You can discover all sorts of reasons why this issue is a problem for you.
