having resurfaced hardwood floors, I can tell you yes it is possible. The degree of difficulty depends on what type and how many coats of finish were on the floor. This would vary the depth to which the urine has penetrated the wood. If the floor has a stain color applied, then you likely will have to do the entire floor. Possibly a professional painter/stainer could sand and blend the colors back to match the existing.
Non Stained floor, sand the finish to the raw wood, you may now try bleach to remove the majority of the stain. This will save having to sand to deep. Once the stain is gone, you are ready to repair, sand outward from your work area to 'feather' or blend the repair spot.
Seal with a good quality polyurethane. Now screen the entire floor using a light grit paper or screen product (hardware store or paint supply store). No need to sand the floor any more than to dull the surface to prepare for adhesion of finish coat.
Now apply coat to entire surface, and repeat for desired appearance. (One coat will probably take care of it)

If you have a lot of them it seems to me the whole floor should be sanded and re stained and sealed . Surely the urine soaked into the grain of the wood and nothing is going to selectively bleach that out so you cannot see it again .
Ask at a good paint store for advice also .
Good luck and remember that pets are so precious and what is a little urine among friends !

I would put an enzyme cleaner on them just as if they were freshly made and see how that works. If you have pets, no matter how old the stain is, they will smell it and use the spot.
