by western union. Then he took it back and said that his bank won't let him unless he is there in the bank (he is in the navy, out to sea). However i am pretty sure you could do this on the internet. My problem is that NOW he wants my bank info, routing number and account number so he can directly deposit the money. I'm not sure that I trust him. Can he do anything with this info other than put money into my bank account? Should I go ahead and give him the info?

Call your bank right now and ask them if there is a restriction. He can really mess up your life by having all that information.

If he is going to Western Union and you have an account there, all he needs is your name. The bank will look up your information. There is no need for him to know anything else. Anyone can deposit money into anyone elses bank account. If he is doing a transfer from his bank to yours however, then he does need the routing number and bank info so that his bank knows where to send it. If you aren't sure you can trust him, don't.

The info he needs is needed to get the money to your bank. This is also better because he avoids paying Western Union extra cash that can go to your child. It is possible for him to mess with your account, but with technology these days you will know before all your money is gone and he would be caught. Even if he gets all your money you can report it and your money is insured at ALL banks! I would say go ahead and do it, but you might have to wait until Tuesday. Today is a holiday and I think all the banks are closed today...

to make a deposit in your account he DOES NOT NEED all of that info...i think he needs to have just your name and address to make a deposit..well that's how it is here in Kansas..maybe it could be diffrent..but just call your bank and ask what all does a person need to make a deposit into someone else's account other than their own and see what your bank says..good luck!

Yes his bank should allow him to wire funds online through the internet. I personally wouldn't give him that information.. its way to sensitive to release. Especially when you say you don't trust him ..

hell no!! don't ever give anyone your info before you know it your account will be empty.why isn't his checks garnished for child support? you can do that , you actually believe he is gonna pay you 3 mo. of c/s ? if it's not paid through the courts it's not recorded that he paid you.and from the courts he would still be behind . every payment needs to be through the court. check into taking it out of his check.

I wouldn't give out that info to my "ex"...or anyone for that matter.
He should have made arrangements for payments before he went out to sea.
If he doesn't pay child support, contact Child Support Enforcement or see what arrangements the Navy will make for you to get the support.

If you give him that information, he will be able to access your account to withdraw as well as put in money. He could possibly even close it by forging your signature. If there is a lack of trust to begin with, do not give that information to anyone!!

Take him to family court and they will garnish his wages. This means that the court will take the money directly out of his paycheck and send it to you.
Then you will not have to go through all this BS.
