As a former teacher I suggest you to write her a very nice card, telling her how much you have learned from her. Tell her that, although a teacher´s life is very hard, that she has planted many seeds in many gardens and someday she will rejoice with all the beautiful flowers that will bloom. Give it to her, personally and give her a hug. Oh! You made me happy with your interest in making your teacher happy!

Best gifts: A verbal thank you for working so hard, flowers, letters like everyone else said, and drawings of the teacher doing his or her job (I save those because it's so great to see how kids see you - once I was drawn as a teaching mermaid) If you've got some lead time, and this teacher is special to your child, the best gift I ever got was a mug the family had made up of a drawing the child created of all her learning that year. I use it all the time.

Well I'm a student but from my personal experience they like when you cooperate with them, listen to them and show that you've learned something from them.I even ask them something at the end of the class showing that I'm interested in what they're teaching and that I would like to know more, that makes them happy especially on the teachers day.

The best way is to give her a flower and a card with a thoughtful note such as thanking her for something she did that brought positive change.
That is the joy of teaching! To be able to know that somehow you have become an effective instrument of change (for the better).

Give them something simple, but sincere, like a card with a hand written note of appreciation for everything they do for you each day.
