Probably not long initially. It would however mean we would all have to start thinking about life in a community for a change and working together for that community instead of thinking about ourselves. It would be the only way to survive.

Many cultures of the world function perfectly well without money .. however modern societies such as ours which are based around it would collapse in an instant.
Money defines what we have, who is 'in charge' and the relative hierarchy between us.
Without money, ownership would be defunct leading to looting, theft and a massive increase in crime ... it would be a free for all .. it may be that once the anarchy and civil war had died down that we would revert to older ways of bartering etc but that would be a long process which would take us back hundreds of years in terms of the country's prosperity and capabilities.;

well, it would be tough and wouldn't last...we'd come up with those prehistoric way of trating: a goat for a pot, and two cows for a house, but then when we'd see that it doesn't pay out, we'd invent money again... it's our urge to trade and exchange,if we didn't trade (money or no money) our economies and industries would get self-sufficient, than we'd live in an endless line of little countries (like two families make a country) with little chance of merging with each other...like in the middle ages in the western Europe... oh,and by the way, that kind of industry was key to the Roman fall,so...don't even start of thinking about it...

Do you mean like if we lost it all? Or never had any to begin with?
If we'd lost it all, there'd be chaos and anarchy until the anarchists settled into tribes and sorted out a system.
If there'd never been any, it would probably also be anarchy but without the chaos. A system of barter would already have been worked out.

not even a week, how would people buy anything.,
Lets say you had chickens and the guy next door had cows.
would you trade 4 chickens for one leg of cow?
and the guy down the streeth had a beet farm., what would he do.
it would take a truckload of beets to trade for a cow leg. and the rancher just doen't need that many beets so he wouldn't sell you a cow leg...
It's easiy to see why "money" works so well.

we never used to have money many eaons ago and we survived and evloved fine. WE could survive with out money, but our current cultures on this plannet are built around it so it would take some real big changes to get rid of the money system.

At first, things may seem fine and dandy, then people will turn violent and greedy, ending in mass murder and crime.
How depressing that we rely on something so stupid.
