Its too bad. Even though they were slipping they were still probably the best team in the AL East. Then Wakefield got injured, then Varitek and Nixon, then Ramirez, Ortiz and Pena. Papelbon hurt his arm and Lester has lymphoma. Really I think they would be winning the East still if they hadn't had so many players get hurt (Wells came back far too late). The team has been reduced to nothing, no starters playing now have 20 homeruns, the consistant catching of Varitek is missing which has destroyed the pitching. Don't get convinced that the team sucks, its a good team thats missing too many key players.

well, they got really unlucky when varitek got injured. he hols the pitching staff together. then nixon and gonzales got hurt. then ortiz and ramirez got hurt. just can't do much when you have that many starters injured. the yankees almost had the same situation. i'm a yankee fan but i would have love to see the games with the yankees and a healthy boston club. what a series. it is my understanding they all will play this week so they still might get a wild card berth but it is a long shot.
i hate no team! it is the greatest game ever played. how about the tigers! a-rod's got the fans with him! the mets are terrific! the twins pitching staff and joe mauer are keeping the twins in the wild card race! what a game!

Its too undesirable. even nonetheless they have been slipping they have been nonetheless in all possibility the main appropriate group indoors the AL East. Then Wakefield have been given injured, then Varitek and Nixon, then Ramirez, Ortiz and Pena. Papelbon harm his arm and Lester has lymphoma. relatively i think of of they may well be triumphing the East nonetheless in the event that they hadn't had a brilliant variety of game enthusiasts get harm (Wells have been given right here lower back a recommendations too previous due). The group has been decreased to now no longer some thing, no starters enjoying now have 20 homeruns, the consistant catching of Varitek is lacking which has destroyed the pitching. are no longer getting confident that the group sucks, its a spectacular group thats lacking too many key game enthusiasts.

I'm more of a Yankees fan and I'm pretty happy. The Red Sox fans have rubbed it in the Yankees faces so I'm glad they fell back.I understand they are a little bitter cuz the Yankees win all the time but they really bug me.

Back to true form! 2004 was a fluke....hope the fans enjoyed it because it looks like it will be a long time before they see that again. Great management...finally get a world series team only to dismantle it the next year. I don't care what anyone says about Steinbrenner...he wants to win and knows how to do it. Period.

The Red Sox are worthless and weak. Who cares about the Mets, shouldn't you be worried that the Yankees ***** slapped you this year!

Very depressing. We've been spoiled for the last few years & aren't used to this !!!! I think all the injuries have been a major factor, but the bullpen has sucked all season. Plus Beckett has been terrible! But, after '04 it doesn't hurt as much as in the past. Don't you agree!?!
