Possibly. You can never be too safe. Download some good antivirus/antispyware programs from the net (the ones I've listed below are free) and run some scans on your computer.
Look these up in any search engine to download them:
Spybot Search and Destroy
Windows Defender
AntiVir Guard
Spycatcher

well, there's no need to take a chance, so yes, just run a complet virus diagnostic scan. this will check all subfolders, cookies, internet files, etc.
by doing this, there is no way that you can go wrong. afterall, you wouldn't want to risk the "safety of your computer" to open up a program would you?
btw, most computer already have a virsus scanner in them, so just run it from the start menu if you can.....
Afterwhich, delete OR quarintine any maliscious files, and just fyi, look to see if the program comes up as potential hazard.

Ouch, happened to me a while ago. It refuses to open even Notepad for you too, doesn't it? First thing to do is restart your computer. As soon as you log in, hit the sequence to bring up Task Manager. As more applications start to open, figure out which program is preventing others from starting, and shut it down. Get Autoruns from SysInternals, and use that to prevent the program from starting on all log ins. Finally, use your AV to clean it out. Should work, if it's the same issue as the one I had.

I seriously doubt it.
I just googled that, "made From a virus", and got no hits regarding any program download. If it were a virus or even sometype of hoax it would be all over google.
So no, I don't think so.
What is the program name or file name?

That's pretty scary.. who knows... it just could be a sick joke. But when you download unknown programs that's a risk you take... begain by downloading the latest updates to your antivirus program and scan scan scan... Try scanning with the online scanner at trendmicro.com http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Maybe it is just a adware. Most virus doesn't warn user ,if they do, they almost are harmless virus, but you could see if your PC is infected when it run slower,do not response ..
