My thoughts and prayers are with Terri, Bindi Sue and Bob.God Bless xXx

At least he died doing what he loved best and that's what we'll continue to do now he's gone. He touched the lives of soooo many people and made me realise that all animals are beautiful (still haven't conquered my fear on spiders yet)

R.I.P xXx

I am absolutely crushed by the news of Steve Irwin. Breaking the news to my children, who were huge fans, was like telling them that a memeber of the family had died. It's seems like the good always die young. It brought back flashbacks of when I heard John Lennon and Princes Diane died. He had brought so much to the world in terms of conservation at a time when it is so badly needed. His enthusiasm and compassion for wildlife was like no one else I've ever come across. I doubt we'll ever see another personality like him in our lifetimes. I know he was doing what he loved but I know there was so much more he wanted to do and could have done. And most sadly, to me, I know that he loved his children more than anything and would never, ever, have wanted to leave them and miss out on their growing up. It was just a terrible freak accident. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Steve and his family. His legacy will live on. Spokane, Wa. USA

Steve Irwin died doing what he loved. He brought us closer to things most would never get close to. Many times, he showed us the danger in what he did. There were many times I thought him to be crazy, but he had a passion most don't understand.

Thought he was a very caring and genuine man. I have a particular dislike for famous people generally due to how shallow and self-centered they seem to be, but he alays struck me as a decent guy with loads of energy. Yes he took risks, but then the programmes he made wouldn't have been so entertaining. This is a shock and a terrible loss.

I have been so saddened by the news of his death this morning. I respected his work with wildlife and his devotion, not only to his work, but to his children, his wife, his family and even his extended zoo family was so apparent. My daughter has grown up watching wildlife TV shows and now she is a college student majoring in Zoology. It's because of her love of animals and people like Steve Erwin that she has chosen her career path. Steve Erwin will surely be missed. I know I miss him already. What a sad day for everyone who appreciated his enthusiasm and his work!

An absolute legend!!!

I thought it was hilaurious on Crocodile Diaries when some of his work mates and himself decided to put meal worms in these two girls wraps for lunch. And they didn't even notice until there third wrap. The lads were just sitting eating these normal, tasty wraps for lunch and the two girls were eating meal worms. How did they keep a straight face.

He was a man dedicated to learning about animals and teaching others about animals. He was not afraid to try the dangerous stunts, or to go where "no other man has gone before." He seemed to have such a drive to learn more about animals that he often put his own safety at risk. We should be grateful for the things he has taught us. He will be missed greatly.

He was a great guy, that has don't a lot in his 44 years of life. He was all ways pushing him self to the edge to get the things he wanted... I think he was a good entertainer and he will be remembered for years to come.
