From the capital letters, I suspect we are once again treated to a homework topic. Am I right?

The limits are economic, not technological. As far as I can see, with a gigabyte becoming small change, there are no limits except failure of the imagination.

What is your definition of the word "the"?

There isn't much that is "conventional" about computing. Almost all the technology completely changes every 5-10 years. So far, there are no limits to computing. My personal opinion is that we are FAR away from the type of computing power that will arrive in the future. Think about it. Super-Computers of 20-30 years ago are now harnessed in your desktop system. The power of an SGI super-computer today will be available in a desktop system in 20 years or less. And it will continue to grow beyond our imagination.
