1) If in public without pants/trousers it's usually unacceptable not to.
2) It's generally advisable because it's inconvenient to have a clean pair of pants/trousers every day.

Only if nobody will know they don't have any under the clothes. If your comfy without then it's not necessary. It's all up to the comfort of person.

I never wear underwear with jeans or shorts...unless I'm going to the doctor

As long as your personal hygeine is good there is no real need. I believe in 'freedom of movement' and never wear any - its much more comfortable! Go on guys - give it a go!

My man doesn't wear underwear, but I must say, there's something to be said for seeing boxers peeking out from a guy's jeans-- it's sexy.

It is for men and women for hygienic purposes...
for men, especially, it's safer to wear for obvious reasons
for aesthetic purposes, as well....

i wear underwear but doesn't mean other guys can't. to each his own. some guys feel comfortable without.
