I have an internet friend from syria, we were just chatting on yahoo im! and making phone calls from time to time.
today while chat he knew that i have some finance problems, he said nothing but after a couple of hours he phoned me and told me that he has already transfered 500 dollars for me !!!
it was a big surprise and i tryed to refuse, but it is so bad to refuse such a thing between arabs !!
now tell me, should I accept this money and lose recpect to myself? or shall I refuse and lose my best friend??
it is a big deal for me !!

if you are in a bad way with your finances then you should manage them better but your friend is helping you out let him know that you are very grateful for his offer and swallow your pride for once and offer to pay him back when are able to don,t give a time when you are going to pay him back and if he says no need just do it any way this is the type of friend that you don,t take advantage of providing he does,nt want anything in return for lending you the money if he does then just give it back but he seem to be that type of person a lot of people would like a friend like him but they would abuse it and keep on taking for just pure greed but thats the way of the world you can still respect yourself it,s just that you are hitting a difficult period in time and i should think that your friend will show no disrespect so don,t worry

well he prob would get upet if you refused to take his money. think that everything happens for a reason and he is trying to be ur friend the best way he can considering he lives so far away he just wants to let u know that he cares for u and that thats the only way he feels he can show you at the moment seeing as he lives so far away just make sure you let him know how thankful u are and how much u appreciate his friendship and he will feel so much better.

I don't know how he could send you money without letting know you so, but why don't you accept the money and send something nice back? You don't lose anything if you do for him good.

well, refuse politely...tell him it affects your self respect n so you cant accept it but u appreciate his concern.......n if he does'nt agree, return the money back after a couple of days saying that you dont need it any more your problem is solved....if he is true friend will definately respect one of the answers!!

If he's giving away money, take it. Just make sure it's a gift and not a loan. If he wants to help you out, let him.
