Most genius is derived from some kind of madness! Most lasting Iconic musicians have all been heavy drug users (I think one fell out of a tree a few months back just before their world tour started! lol) Shelly, Byron etc all indulged themselves in drink and drugs and I do believe a few world leaders such as Hitler (not a good example) all had a walk on the wild side! These days things are all far to P.C and I'm not say his drug use is correct but it's his own thing!
The people that are making it known and thus influencing people, are the media, without them no one would know or care about it. So may be the media have more to answer for than Mr Doherty

Yes he should go to jail because he has committed a crime. No one is above the law and just think what would happen if the rich and famous could get away with things that normal people could not. Hardly fair is it?

He should tap on the bars of his cell.
He needs a wake up call or he's going to be found dead one day from an o/d so maybe prison would do the trick before he becomes yet another rock'n roll tragedy

If he's guilty of an offence, then he should go to jail. He's a role model for young people, and they should see that people have to face the consequences of their choices. As for his music, he'd have whole new set of experiences to draw on.

Of course he should go to jail. Just because he's a 'celebrity' does not mean he's above the law. He should have to serve jail time just as a 'normal' drug addict would.

And whether or not his music is 'great' is subjective. I think it's awful.

if he keeps re offending then yes they should put him in prison...when he gets out if he does it again he should go back in for longer maybe he will learn his lesson also whilst he is inside he will have plenty of time to think of some decent lyrics and maybe you will get an excellent album. to be honest though i am fed up with seeing his ugly face all over the papers

The judge has not sent him to jail as it will not do him any good, she even said she likes his music

Yes, either that or he should be put down. What does Kate Moss see in him, it certainly isn't a clear complexion and soulful eyes!
