I built one, years ago, from a kit. It made a beautiful finished product and it's alcohol fired boiler was big enough to produce enough steam to run a complete miniature shop.

The problem is, unless you have a GOOD metal lathe and know how to use it.... you will have a very difficult time building your steam engine. I was fortunate enough to have a relative who was a retired machinest and he helped me (read: he DID) the really hard and precision work for me.

I have seen pictures from the early days of automobiles where a small steam engine was put on a two wheeled vehicle. So it is not impossible, just very difficult to do unless you have your own machine shop. Also, your MotoBike is optimized for human pedal power, adding the weight and bulk of a steam engine will throw off its handling characteristics and does not appear to be practical. The picture of this bike looks like its frame has little room to retrofit any kind of engine.
