Circus Circus is OK if you have kids or are taking advantage
of one of their special priced packages. Adults traveling
alone (no kids) would probably prefer somewhere that caters
to a more over 21 crowd. In addition, that part of the strip is
under heavy construction & it can be a bit of a walk to the next
casino. If your not familiar with it, then my advise is to take a
hotel farther up the strip.

It might have been something back in the days when Hunter Thompson stayed there....nowadays, it has a seedy temporary carnival feel.
If you have kids, I recommend Excalibur instead. It is on the Southern end of the strip near most of the newer properties... walking distance to Luxor which has a great arcade, Mandalay Bay which has the Shark Reef, NYNY which has a roller coaster...
Take the kids on a day trip to Circus Circus for the theme park, but don't stay there.
Then again, if you're a Hunter Thompson fan, you might get a kick out of it.

Do you have kids? If you have kids its one of the best places to stay. ( I went there when I was a kid) Man the arcades, free circus shows it was a BLAST!
If you don't have kids DON"T GO HERE. You would be very dissapointed. The hotel is cheap which is a good thing. The Orleans is a nice cheap hotel too.

Too many kids for me. But if you're planning a family trip, then it would be perfect. Happy Vacationing and good luck at the tables and slots!

I went there 12 years ago and we didn't stay there, but we went there and I thought it seemed really run down, esp. in comparison to the other hotels.

Great for kids but thats about it. The food was horrible and it was very crowded.

i thought it was kinda family focused
but i had fun there any way
it was very nice and very comfortable
