Here's the problem: Me and my friend both like the same girl. In fact, both of us want her to be our prom date. But I dont want to fight with my friend over her. I don't want him or me to feel bad. I still want us to be still friends. Any advice? Please, this is badly needed. Please give me sensible answers.

He got angry when i tried to talk to him about this. He was obviously being defensive.

draw lots and you should agree prior to that that there will be no hurt feelings whatever the results be.

Solution #1
I suggest that all three of you talk about it openly and honestly. She will probably solve the problem for you. Chances are she either likes only one of you as "more then friends" OR she likes some othe guy and just wants you both as friends. In either case, you should still be friends the morning after prom.

Solution #2
Is there a twin sister?

Solution #3
Cloning... sure it is illegal, immoral, unethical, and might take more time to grow the new HER in the time you, have but at least the one who waits will have a younger version of her.

Hon this is a sticky situation. But, seeing alot of my friendsgo through it I have told them this. you have to decide what is more important to you a lifelong friendship or a date or 2 that may not last. you have too choose what is best for you.
Ok how about this, how about all 3 of you go to prom as friends. This will give you both a chance to see who is more compatable with this girl. And discuss this with your friend and if he is the great person that you say he is then everything will work out.

You already took the first step, and i admire you for been a good friend and sometimes that means put others in front of your self, friendship is more important than any girl but i wonder does she knows who she wants to go with?have you talk to friend about it?
if not, do it express your self is important to let your feelings out and don't hold back you don't want to have any regrets.in the other hand I'm sure you are a great handsome fun person any girl will love to have a sensitive guy like your self as a date
good luck.

i don't have a good suggestion, but if u want to win something, u don't want to loose it, u gotta work for it, and never give up, there will be sacrifices.... go on, then. In long term... u might not win for the prom date... but u 're insist on getting, perhaps u might get it someday, all depends on what u do today, if u're brave enough go forth, what will u lose? before u ask u have nothing, even if u failed, u didn't lose anything. let the girl choose her partner.

Boy, That is a tough one. I would think that she would be big enough to choose the one she wanted to go with. You could both ask her. Maybe she wouldn't be the type of person who would choose as soon as she was asked. I am sure she would feel flattered. If she chooses you over him, don't gloat. If she chooses him over you, don't be mad at him. There might be a possibility of her going with someone altogether different.

Me, personally, would not ask someone out if I knew my friend like him. That is something I couldn't do.

There are several ways to approach this depending on how well you and your buddy get along. First, you could agree to let her choose. Then you could both go to her and ask her together if she would like to go to prom with one of you. That's the simplest and most honest way to do it.

How does your friend feel? Did you talk to him? And what makes either of you think she will go with you to the prom??

I suggest you talk to your friend and work it out. That's the only way you remain friends .
