Please don't let the bastards bring you down.
Remember that Steve Irwin had more fun in one minute than those jerks will have in a lifetime.

It was a freak accident to say the least.

From what I understand it is rare that a person gets stung by a stingray, and even more rare that it becomes life threatening.

He was an amusing, informing and controversial naturalist and conservationist. He did some things that were not the 'most thought-out" but then everyone has lapses.

It is a sad thing when people denigrate others for no real reason beyond their own ignorance and prejudice. Unfortunately, you need to get used to it because it is a daily occurrence.

Steve Irwin was a great fellow, most Americans loved him and his adventures with dangerous animals. We all grieve for this great loss to the world and our hearts go out to his family. He will be greatly missed.

There will always be negative, hateful people in the world. Don't listen to them, ignore them and celebrate a life well lived by Steve Irwin. He was truly unique and loved by millions.

I liked Steve Irwin. I just got up and turned on the news and that is what was on. Now thanks to my husband, (who likes him also) all I can think is " it puts a new meaning to, lets go poke it with a stick." Horrible isn't it. He died doing what he loved, you can't ask for more. But we liked him a lot. He taught children about a lot of things. My brother used to watch him all the time on T.V. I don't think it's good that he died, It is sad.

Hi
These "people" are disrespectful as they are ignorant, rude and have no manners or morals and actually think it's amusing to make fun of someone that's dead. I wonder if they'd find it so amusing if it happened to one of their own family. xxxxx
Steve Irwin was a great man that contributed his entire life to the welfare of animals and in such a kind way too.. I wish more people in life were like him xxxx

I have not read anyone thinking it was good. Steve left the world a better place for people and animals, and few of us ever get to live out our dreams of finding our mate in life, and doing what we love. Those are the closest comments I have seen to what you say.

I don't believe it is necessary to respect the dead, if they were not good people when they were alive.

But I don't think Steve Irwin is a bad person and I think it's a shame people are bashing him.

i don't think it's good that he died. i liked him very much, and feel a loss that he died. i thought about contacting my cousins in australia about his death, but felt i couldn't ease anyone's pain there, my being an american. i felt no one would think i understood. he truly was a very special man, and i'm sorry that he was taken away from this life. it just seems wrong that he died documenting that which he loved. i don't know what else to say. please accept my condolences. i am shocked too. he will be missed.

Some people are just going through their own share of **** in their lives and they think it's justifiable behaviour to make a mockery of other people's deaths! Please show Steve some respect...he did nothing to anyone of you! If your lives had been a piece of ****....so be it....solve your own damn problems.... leave the sadly departed man alone!

its not surprising to see this type of behavior from people anymore. we are a society of insensitive, selfish bastards! politeness has become the exception instead of the rule. and it is not just one generation or race that's the culprit. it covers all demographics and socioeconomic groups. we have become the romans and our fellow man is the lion in the arena waiting to be slain for our pleasure. its all one big grand show until its our time to be the lion and then its not damn funny anymore!!!!!!!!!!!
