I got a ticket from police officer because of I had not valid bus ticket.
I am a new comer to Canada (40 days only).
It was early morning and I was late to reach my job finding class.
I got on the bus that was leave the station to reach my class on time. I did not have enough time to validate my ticket.
I shown my past day tickets to officer and also blank tickets but he wrote a ticket for me. I don't want to have a bad record so I want to go to court and defend myself.
I need some advice to go to court and defend myself.

this seems like it would be the most petty of violations, go to the courthouse and see if they will offer you some kind of plea bargain ......that would be an offer to you from the prosecutor or hearing officer to reduce the fine or possibly dismiss this ticket. If you have a clean record and it is a very petty first offense, hearing officers and proescutors are often very understanding about giving you a break. don't count on it, but it is worth a try.

Just pay the fine. You'll waste more and and effort and you'll probably lose anyway. You broke the law, but it is not something that will get you kicked out the country. It is a very minor offense and not something to be worried about.

Just plead guilty. Regardless whether you're new or not, you've broken the law. Just explained to the court that you've overlook and will not do it again. In your case, it's not so serious that it warrants a jail or something. I believe the court will just give you a warning or perhaps a 'fine'.

When you go to court, ask to speak to duty counsel, they are a free lawyer who will help you in court, give you advice, and speak on your behalf to the judge, highly recommended.

you should take a computer science class.. they will teach you how to use the spell check. also you should take a grammar class. also you should take a civics class because you are a thief.
