I'm considering dressing up as a singer from the 20's, with the boa and high heeled shoes (kinda like Cristina Aguilera now)...

Go to www.costumeideazone.com - they have lots of fun (and, admittedly, some stupid) ideas - last year, I dressed up as the game "Operation" - I found the idea on the site, and everybody loved it. Most of them are cheap and lots of them use stuff that you can find around the house.

Paris and Nicole. (I'm totally kidding)
It's hard to think of unique costumes anymore. All of the ghosts and goblins and things like that have been done. Princesses, Angels have been done.
Superheroes have been done
Star Wars, Star Trek and things like that have been done.
Maybe go as someone from a reality show or one of those competition shows like American Idol or something.

grapes, I was one once, i taped balloons to myself. It was funny, you would get a good laugh. But if you want to be more casual, maybe Christina aguilera and britney spears.
