apparently they do because they did drug tests on two of my sons girlfriends when they were pregnant and also to my daughter when she was pregnant and also to a girl that lives next door now that she is pregnant.

Yes they do. They can also drug test the baby without permission.
People want to sue for everything these days. A positive drug screen can disprove malpractice and explain a lot of complications: preterm birth, low birth weight, congenital malformations...and quickly prompt a children's services referral.

Yes they do have a right to test pregnant women for drugs. Thank goodness there are people looking out for unborn children. I have heard of pregnant women being imprisoned or placed in controlled assisted living situations during the remainder of the pregnancy to protect the infants from further abuse.

yes they do and sometimes it just comes up in the urine when they test what it is in it, when u are pregnant try to stop because in the end if u still have drugs in ur system the state can take ur baby

I believe so. If they feel you are using drugs, it is in the best interest of the child, and it is their obligation to test you. I know this from personal experiences. It all depends on where you are, it texas, it is definitely a yes.

It may depend on the state. Our doctor had to ask my sisters and I and I only allowed it once, my sisters refused completely.

They should NOT be allowed. Think of it this way, if abortion is legal and you can murder your own child, why shouldn't you be able to smoke pot for your own saniity while pregnant. Both happen because the mother was too irresponsible and selfish right?

I would say so, they are just helping the child survive. Child abuse can start in the womb.

my doctor did mine without my permission....but i dont have nothing to worry about i am 14 weeks and clean...i dont see what the big deal is!!!!!!!!!!
