I met a guy on line some months ago, and he asked to stay in touch with him. We began via e-mail and started to IM about 3 months ago. During this period of time, he's asked me a few quite personal questions, and I answered him. He's told me some things about himself but refuses to answer my questions similiar to the ones he asked me. Seems to me he wants to open me up but doesn't want to open himself up to me. To me this is unfair AND weird. This is NOT the usual way to make friends, is it? If he does NOT intend to befriend me, why does he want me to stay in touch and to answer his questions? But then why is this a one-way street? Do you think he'll eventually open up to me? Do you think he's still trying to sort me out before deciding if he wants to open up? I really hope he will open up to me because that's how I see friendship should be. Please tell me what you think of this situation and how I can help him to open up to me. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Well it seems like he's just playing with your friendship just to amuse himself. This is sad considering you really wanted this friendship to work. Tell him that this is bothering you and if he doesnt bulge, then let it go. I think he is married.

That is wierd that he only wants to know more about you, be careful cause you don't really know or seen this person before. I don't know try to not to tell about yourself too much and try to ask him more questions since you don't know him that well, but try not to be so open to his questions, remember you only met this person online, you don't know what he's like in real life, i'm just saying.

He's playing games with you. Never indugle personal info about yourself, you never know what he's doing with that info. He's weird and you need to stop contact with him.
