i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

He will be missed by a lot of people but none will miss him more than his two little children. I lost my father when I was seven, and even though I am 51 now it still hurts as much now as it did then. Pray for his children ,that they may have people in their lives that will keep their father's memory alive and provide some direction in their lives that their father will no longer be able to provide.

A lot of people miss Steve, but no one will miss him more than his family, Terri must be heartbroken. My heart goes out to them all.

So so sad. I know it was the nature of his job, but he was only 44 and a whole life to give to Australia Zoo and conservation. It is a massive blow to people everywhere.

Who does not pass over him? My hubby became an avid viewer of his tutor The Crocodile and a great fan of his. I enjoyed him too and it became in simple terms tragic the way he died. little question he would be extraordinarily neglected worldwide. i'm hoping he's ultimately at peace everywhere he's.
