not really, not really affected, everyone figured he'd go sooner or later anyway, I wasn't a fan though I knew who he was and I admired his love of animals.
it's ironic that he died in such a way, all the animals he faces that are actually dangerous and he dies looking at something as placid as a stingray. it's a shame and I feel sorry for his family, mostly the kids, the baby will never have proper memories of him. probably impressions, but no more. that is a real shame.

Well he was making a documentary at the time so I guess it was during one of his stunts. I don't think it matters how it happened it is very tragic as he was a young man and has a young family who will never really know him.

Yes. His 'stunts' were just his attempts to bring his love of animals and enviornment to the masses. He was very much loved in this household and I'm heartbroken for his family, his co-workers and friends, and his fans. There are a lot of little kids who will cry today.

I would still feel saddened as he has left behind a family.
I think that he would've wanted to go this kind of way though.
I remember meeting him at his wildlife park out of Robina in Australia and he was such a passionate man, truly inspiring

I'm sure there are a lot of people who are saying serves him right and if he'd just lost a finger I'd say it too, however it's a shame for his family. I'm not affected by his death as I didn't know him by name only as "that prat who torments animals" no disrespect his actions were more memorable than his personality. I'm sure he'll be missed, Aussies are nice people and we need more of em.

Althought I had only glimpses of his many shows in National Geographic and don't particularly fancy his show, I felt that any
unnatural death is tragic. I believe his life insurance payout should take care his family future needs but NG lost one experienced nature film maker. My condolances to his family.

Yes, it's not everyday that you can meet someone who has such a passion for saving animals and the envorinment.
At least the way he went was by doing something that he loved

Yes. No matter how he died it's tragic. I wonder if they will show it on the movie he was filming. It's like that guy that got mauled by the grizzly, while the camera was on in the backback. You don't see it, but you hear the whole grisly thing.
