I'm not much of a horror movies type!! so basically, the scariest movie I've ever seen would be " The Exorcism of Emilie Rose".

Trilogy of Terror:
Three stories interwoven together in this Dan Curtis production starring Karen Black in each segment. The first, about a high school student infatuated with his teacher. The second, a paranoid tale of two sisters - one good, the other evil, and the third about an African tribal doll that comes to life and terrorizes a woman in her apartment.

I would say the thai movie industry rules, though there were occasion boring and uncomprehesible movies.
The scariest movie would be 'Shutter', there's a good amount of suspene and a good story line that will make you feel spook all over.

The Descent was very good. Scary, but a ery smart movie.
I also liked High Tension. It had some very shocking scenes.
Alien is a very suspenseful movie. The Amityville Horror is scary because it is true.

The scene from Silence of the Lambs where Clairice is in the dark in the basement with the killer and he has the night vision glasses on. It just seemed so real, especially when he reached out and almost touched her. My heart was beating like a trip hammer

For me its has to be The Ring, not the american version (blah) but the original japanese kinds. its just scarier in the japanese version.
second for me it would be Shutter a Thai scary movie, its a story of a ghost which that you can only look by using a camera. the ending is insane.
