Our system of government allows people the best chance to succeed. It isn't perfect, but it's the best system developed by man so far. ( I am speaking of the United States of America)

By creating a welfare class who has survived without working for generations.
The Democrats exploit these people by expanding welfare for votes.
The Democrats know that the more people living in poverty, the more votes they get.
They want them to stay in poverty.

The way welfare was run for many years keep many in the ranks of the poor. That was done to keep a voting block set to one side.

we spent more money in iraq then we have in this country to contribute to poverty.... figure it out....

It rewards failure. Giving sustenance (barely) to low income or no income families--without giving hope.
Instead of training it gives foodstamps. I have seen it work, but for the most part, it is a failure.

By allowing foreign nations to control our economy (namely Japan), by outsourcing, by failing to control illegal immigrants, by failure to demand equal trade agreements, by failure to install protective trade tariffs, by allowing our technology to escape and then buying back that same technology, by failure to utilize equitable trade policies, by allowing questionable immigrants to flood the work place with unskilled workers, by allowing companies to relocate to other nations with no penalties, by creating a high-end dollar economy that requires top wages to obtain an acceptable lifestyle, by allowing mega-corporations to destroy the smaller businesses, by traumatizing large international companies with ridiculous mandates and law suits....shall I continue?
