To do well in the GMAT (that's the exam you have to take to enter an MBA program) there is only one way, and that is to work hard! Some resources are helpful. If you want lots of questions to practice, get the Official GMAT guide from GMAC. It is an orange book and available in all good bookstores. If you want some tips on answering questions etc, check out the Kaplan guide for GMAT. It's very helpful.

Shanks_ing is also correct in pointing out that you should book your test date early. This gives you something to work towards. While doing your study and practice, take note of timings. I found that it is best to do lots of practice tests so you are familiar with the fast pace of the GMAT. the mba.com website provides a downloadable (free) program that contains some practice questions and practice tests. Do them as they are timed and look just like the actual test. Also, don't neglect any part of your preparation (eg, focus more on quantitative than verbal etc). Each section counts towards your total score. You may be able to score high on one, but a low score on another can screw you up. Also, practice the essays. Do a few full essays (ie. plan, write and review entire essay), and do a lot of "planning" practice, by which I mean the 5 mins planning before answering the essay. Practice what you need to do in these 5 mins and you will go a long way to crafting an answer that is logical, presentable and easy to understand.

Last of all, practice, practice and practice some more. I know because I just did mine and scored 720. If I can do it, you can too!

get yourself a good book like kaplan, barron or princeton, they have a cd within them , try to prstice as many simulation papers as possible, also try to build on your vocabolary so that you are able to sail through the verbal section, I think you are an indian so the maths section wont be a problem, the only problem that I foresee for indians is time and verbal, just work as much as possible on the verbal like for 2 months , I am sure you would b able to pull out a score of 600+ atleast. I think that you can easily score above the median, like 550+ its getting above 650 which is difficult and dont forget to get dates in advance in india the busiest season is in holidays try to get dates atleast 3 months in advance...you would have to get in touch with prometric testing services for this. I did the same as well

all the best!!!

for my section, I in no way even appeared at a record yet used the Princeton evaluate e book for the Verbal (contains the writing section). the way they break down your essay is an exceptionally stable gadget to artwork on and use. i'm an particularly stable author so might have come particularly extra advantageous trouble-free to me. Goodluck
