I have had a lot of hard decisions to make in my life. So far, I would say the hardest was to start my life over as a single parent. I was married for 10 years, my kids were 4 & 5 years old. The marriage went sour. I moved them out of state, back to my home, went back to school, got a degree, it took about 6 years to get my life back on track, but I did it. But I also know that will not be the hardest thing. For a couple of years ago, my dad was diagnosed with asbestos lung disease, he is hitting the final stage, and I know with no doubt, that when his time comes, and it is getting closer and closer every day, that it will be the hardest thing I will ever have gone through. My dad played a big role in my getting my life back together after my divorce. I can't say anymore because I get really really sad

Hardest thing? Wow, there have been many. All the people I've had to say good-bye to, whether temporarily (when I've had to move), or permanently (like in death). But the hardest thing in the last couple years was leaving the States, not knowing when I'd get to see my family again. Hugging my beautiful nieces and nephews good-bye...seeing my mom trying not to cry at the airport...yeah. That was hard.
I'm still here...and I haven't seen any of them except in pictures in almost two years.

I went to a guys house to ask him out (amazingly enough I felt better after, even though he didnt say yes! Just I was proud for getting the guts to do it). And I went through an anxiety/depression thing for about a year, I still get it every now and then, thats pretty hard because I feel like I'm going insane, getting over friends betrayals are hard too

When I had to tell my kids we parents were separating and, while I would live just three blocks away, it wouldn't be with them any more :-(

Now 4 yrs later, divorced, which was best solution for my mental health (although partner initiated it) but still sad for me and the kids. But I see them about 4 days a week and it's working out as well as can be expected.

Walking away from a job that I loved. Unfortunately at the time, it wasn't paying the bills and the opportunity of advancement was slim.

I don't regret doing it, but at the time it was killing me inside & out.
