Be within at least 15 metres of someone else with a DS,
Both turn it on (it doesn't have to be at the same time like the GBA),
Tap "Pictochat" and go in "Chat room" A, B, C, or D,
Tell ur mate to go in the same Chat room as you did,
---No cables needed --- It's wireless--- : )
Type & draw random things to eachother,
Then thank me for the help.

First...you have to be about 30 feet away or less I believe.
Turn on your DS and make sure you don't have a game in it or it is set up to to to the main menu where you can pick from playing the ds game, a gba game if it is inserted. The other option is pictochat. Select this and it should look to see if anyone is around. The other DS has to be on and it pictochat.
It is wireless.
