Do you think he was a genius or a crazy man?
I thought it was a little on the mental side but he worked really hard for the conservation of animals in Oz and in various other places around the world.
What do you think?

I can't belive he's died!!! He worked so hard to preserve the environment and protect endangered species. He promoted Australia like no other and His death is a tradgedy. I hope others will follow his footsteps and help protect animals and their habitats. Imagine what his family are feeling! For his wife, its not just her husband that has died, but a best friend and colleague.
But at least he died doing what he loved.
)': :'(
RIP Croc Hunter

He was really quite genius!
He not only had the daring or courage to attempt things, but had the power and wherewithal to simultaneously entertain as well!!
I mean, his daring was largely his undoing in the finish, and may be why most of us do not attempt similar feats, but Presley died young as well ... as did Lennon and Mozart and Nat King Cole and Buddy Holla-hee-Hee.
They say death by a sting ray is rare; so it was just the luck of the bounce of the ball, really!
Yes; he was a genius in many ways ... and one of a kind.

He was both!! Crazy for getting that close to so many dangerous animals but he also worked so hard to promote australia and all of it's animals. How many people could name the most dangerous snakes in the world before he was on tv!!!

Both, 'all those who are truly great are touched with madness'.
He cared about the creatures he filmed and loved being around them. I'd say the south african guy who calls himself the snake hunter is probably a little crazy too, but you can't help but admire someone who is so passionate about something positive, and instils that passion in others...

Genius and crazy kinda go hand in hand, but in no way was Steve Irwin a genius, it doesn't take a genius to wrestle crocodile and do other out of the ordinary things with dangerous animals as he did, it takes stupidity. Dangerous animals are just that for a reason, because they are dangerous and not to be toyed with. It's sad that this has happened, but you have to remember that you can't go around trying to be a big bad *** messing with dangerous things because the circumstances may not always turn out good.

A bit on the crazy side but thats because he was so passionate about what he did. I think good on him. I'm sad he's gone but in some small way pleased he went doing what he loved most.

Well the answer to the first part of your question is neither hes dead!
But that was a bit callous and to give him his due, like him or loathe him he found a niche on TV and the media that set him apart form others. He was courageous but ran out of luck on this occasion I hope nobody else tries to steal his mantel.
I did not like what he did it was sensationalism but I did not dislike the man.

He was a man, and brave enough to take chances for us to see some magic in the animal world. He had a gift to do what he did and he must have done with the knowledge of the risk he was taking-that makes him brave in my eyes.
He was willing to take the chance to do what he wanted-no crazy no
He was a brave man who tragically died of a freak accident really. If that barb had hit him somewhere else he may still be alive, but the heart, well, so sad.......
I pray for strength for his family, he'll be greatly missed I'm sure - and my kids loved watching his shows and I often heard 'crikey' in the background or his enthusiastic voice as he did what he did-full of life and spirit. I never watched them but could hear....
God Bless him and his family xxx

I think a little bit of both. He's work was very good. I used to watch him with my mum when I was visiting. He was on the wild side but I liked that.
