Here is the answer from The Library of Congress
Q. Can zebras be domesticated?
A. No, zebras cannot be domesticated. They are unpredictable and are known to attack people. To be domesticated, animals must meet certain criteria. For example they must have a good disposition and be calm enough not to panic under pressure. Zebras' unpredictable nature and tendency to attack preclude them from being good candidates for domestication.http://www.loc.gov/rr/scitech/mysteries/archive/zebra.html.old

On one or two occasions people have tried. In South Africa during the "gold rush" times, there was a very famous bunch of zebras pulling the post wagon to Pelgrimsrust. But they where know for there bad temper (Poor things got eaten by lions in the end)
Domestic horses are more placid and tame because of centuries of breeding. Someone will need to keep Zebra's and breed them for a hundred odd years to get the most placid ones.
Why waste time as we already have oxen and horses.

Ponies and horses have lived at the same time interior the comparable field for hundreds of years. even nonetheless the Zebra by no ability fairly being domesticated might no longer be fairly undemanding to introduce into that comparable field. i might say that if the zebra became born into captivity and knew those horses and ponies could be much less stressful to field them interior the comparable pasture. even nonetheless if the Zebra has been introduced in from the place ever, and the horses and ponies are unfamiliar with him he could be out for blood, inspite of each little thing he's a wild animal inspite of him residing in captivity for a mutually as...that's instinct to guard his very own territory. that's what my ideas on it are besides, I have no way of understanding this that's barely an informed guess on my section

Horses have been selectivly breed for thousands of years to be placid and good for riding, draft work, ect.
Zebras, in addition to being wild unpredicatable and dangerous, are smaller than the average rider would like, and I've heard that the mane gets in the way of the saddle.
However, zebra hybrids, called zorses, are somtimes ridden.

They have not been domesticated like horses. They are smaller than some horses and usually they use water buffalo or other oxen type animals in countries that have zebras.

Zebras have horselike bodies, but their manes are made of short, erect hair, their tails are tufted at the tip and their coats are striped.
their orogin is frm africa n they r respected there.
thus, it is a rule 2 leave them freely on earth.
horses were used by the romans for labour n travel.
thus, zebras r not ued as horses.

Have u tried to capture & tame something truly wild? Plus it would be hard to get close with those hooves kicking & teeth biting.

because horses are used as horses, bigger stronger built for that reason.
besides they are not domesticated, you can't have them with other farm animals, they would not co habitate together well

They are hard to tame and are mean. You can take the animal out of the wild, but you can't take the wild out of the animal.....
