i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

We live in a world where even the sickos get to voice their opinions. I don't know why anyone would behave in such disrespectful and disgraceful ways about his death. Steve Irwin was a good and honorable man. He was an entertainer and an environmentalist. He worked hard to save habitats for animals. And, more importantly, he was a loving husband and father. Shame on the naysayers!!

I have a simple motto - its not perfect, but it explains a lot. It goes:
"People, in general, are stupid."
Don't take it literally, its just that I've found that the relative anonymity of the Internet allows a lot of us to tap our selfish, insecure, scared and mean little child in our psyche, and kids can be so cruel. We can vent all the things we wouldn't dare say if we were held accountable for saying them. That's why celebs like Howard Stern, Jerry Springer thrive, shows like South Park, and many reality programming projects take off. Such people love to see other people suffer sometimes, even finda way to blame them, and grind in the heel when they fall.

The first time I ever saw him on TV I thought he was a bit of a knob and couldn't wait to see a venomous snake get him. Over the years regardless of the "Baby Bob" incident my opinion changed and I have grown to admire and respect the man. No matter what anyone thinks, he did great things for animals and the environment world wide. I once saw a program where he bought a bear off villagers with his own money just to free it from they torment the forced it to endure daily. Shame on you anyone who disrespects this great Australian.

Yes, that's right. Honestly, I don't wish death to anyone on the Earth and I was so shocked when I saw that he died. But it's also true that he was looking for that... I mean, all he did was dangerous and if you ask me, it was a question of time.
