They take 10 cats, 10 dishes of whiskas. 9 dishes have extra food enhancers added to the whiskas and the remaining dish doesn't.
The dishes are all lined as are the cats and someone shouts ready steady eat. The cat who doesn't eat up all the food that does not have extra food enhancers, when those that have eaten all their food up.
So this proves that nine out of ten cats prefer Whiskas.

Yes, they can't lie about it but my question is what other brands are they comparing it to? Even cheaper ones? I guess that may be true for going and buying cat food at wal-mart brands.
In my experience with cats, the ones sold in pet stores are liked the most by cats even though it is more expensive. Science Diet seems great with my cats in the present /past.
They test by simply getting so many cats and setting the bowls of different varieties of food in front of them and seeing which ones the cats choose.

I don't know, our cats don't care if it's Whiskas or Friskies or.... something cheapest you can find in a store... But some years ago we had a cat that wouldn't eat anything else than one trade and taste.. Was it Friskies and fish, i can't remember anymore... But she just didn't eat anything else, not even when she was hungry..

Mine did. They took a cross-section of the population of cat owners and gave them the food for their cats. The owners came back and gave the makers an opinion on what the cat did with the food, ate it straight away, ate some left some, didn`t eat any etc, etc and the result was that 90% of the responses came back in favour of the food.

I actually did a test....... I put one bowl of whiskas and a bowl of friskies......Now i let my 4 cats decide...... Two liked whiskas and the other liked friskies.. so it means that cats have thier likes and dislikes too.

i guess they would have to go by how many people buy the stuff to figgure it out, but personally, i think it's just their opinion because i have had at least 10 cats in my life time and of the 10 that i can think of only one of them liked wiskas and that cat would eat anything... (he weighed 33 pounds)

My cat likes Friskies. I guess the way to prove it would be to do the same thing you do with people when testing. Let them try it and see what they choose!
