Time heals...dear. Till then yours feelings are enough. Make things natural for him.
Give him the feelings that the souls of his beloved ones will not be happy to see him sad. Because they love him still and they are watching his every deeds and expressions. They would love to see him enjoying life for their sake.

Was the death of his wife and daughter recently or several years back? Either way death is something all people have to deal with on thier own time and in their own ways. Let your uncle know that if he ever needs someone to talk to you will be there for him. If the loss of his wife and daughter was several years back then maybe he should seek some professional help to deal with it. It sounds like he is dealing with depression, but if its a recent death then what he is doing it normal. Everyone greives in a different way when they loose a loved one.

Just be kind to him - you are so sweet. How long is it since his love ones have passed on. time eventually heals all wounds. Be patient let him mourn as long as he wants. May God Bless You and Your Family and Your Uncle too.

It is going to be really tough for him but he has to be normal for his son.He needs to know that if he is so disturbed then what about his son.He has to stay happy for him & live his life for him.I think you should talk to him about it.It would be more difficult for his son.Losing a mother is not easy & that too when you lose a brother & a sister.

there are stages of grief...
denial, anger, bargaining, depresssion and acceptance
whatever you to do him if he's stll in that stages you won't be able to make him happy... maybe in a minute or two but you won't be able to do it... let him pass through all the stages and adjust... if you'll ask me how long will this grief happens to be healed well i can't answer you. it may take months, years, or decade but what i'm sure is that only time can tell...

Sounds like he needs professional grief counseling.

By the way, time does NOT heal all wounds. It only helps us find ways to cope.

Possibly, have him consult a psychiatrist or psychologist. He may need assistance with the grieving process.....
