I am an artist looking into setting up a video game station for entertainment for my customers and their children. Which one should I buy: XBOX, XBOX 360, NINTENDO DS,PS, PS2, GAMECUBE? Is their something better worth waiting for?

depends what age your clients are, and how many play videogames. if only the kids will play, I'd go with the nintendo. the older generation is a split between xbox and ps2, but the ps2 also has more games for younger audiences. maybe you should hold a poll among your customers to see which system they'd prefer?

Well Playstation 2 is the most renouned and has the best variety of games. So you should go with that.

I would go with PlayStation2 but you never know what might come out in the future it might be better or worser.So if nothing comes out just go with PlayStation2.Hope this helped you.
