I don't know ur problem exactly but here I have given some info about number systems. If U have a specific question.Ask it to me at:>shivendra_whizkid@yahoo.co.in

Number Systems, in mathematics, various notational systems that have been or are being used to represent the abstract quantities called numbers. A number system is defined by the base it uses, the base being the number of different symbols, or numerals, required by the system to represent any of the infinite series of numbers. Thus, the decimal system in universal use today (except for computer application) requires ten different symbols, or digits, to represent numbers and is therefore a base-10 system.

well thats a not a problem to worry. well the system of numbers starting from 1,2..... and just goes on is called natural numbers.and that starting from 0 ,1.....is called whole numbers. integers are the ones which have no decimal points contained in them. it may be either negative or positive. real numbers are of a slightly higher value than integers as they have decimal and fractional numbers also contained in them. the rational number is one which is of the form p/q where p is any real number and q is a real number other than 0. irrational numbers are nothing but the square root of non perfect squares. apart from that there is a number system called complex number which contains the square root of negative numbers also. thats it . its very simple. ok !bye!!! take care.

In mathematics, a number system is a set of numbers, or number-like objects, together with one or more operations, such as addition or multiplication.

Examples of number systems include: natural numbers, integers, rational numbers, algebraic numbers, real numbers, complex numbers, p-adic numbers, surreal numbers, and hyperreal numbers.

For a history of number systems, see number. For a history of the symbols used to represent numbers, see numeral.
