Here are some of the predictions of what we may expect for the year 2015:
Phones will become "a piece of ‘electronic furniture’ that provides hands-free video-calling and a ‘friendly radar’." or a gadget "which gathers info on how you impact the environment every day – how much gas and electricity you use, for example – and gives you free texts and calls for being a good greenie."
BT suggests the following inventions
2012: personal 'black boxes' record everything you do every day
2015: images beamed directly into your eyeballs
"It is possible or even likely that by 2015 we will have computers that are broadly equivalent to people in overall intelligence terms, with some areas where they still under-perform, balanced by other areas where they greatly out-perform humans."
"electrophoretic display material that looks like printed ink-on-paper and has been designed for use in paper-like electronic displays. Like paper, the material can be flexed and rolled. The film only consumes battery power while the image is updated."
"It's 2015 and Microsoft has killed the iPod. The distinctive grey headphones of Zune players are pushed into the ears of commuters across the city"
"all major stores will accept payment by mobile phone, a "virtual secretary" function appears to the phone. By this time some major newspapers have stopped printing on paper."

Don't know about flying skateboards, but the window blinds with the built in display is a definite possibility. That wacky jacket, self adjusting and built in dryer: already possible but not marketed. We already have bionic implants, for medicinal purposes, but recreational implants will require FDA approval which is likely to take at least 10 years, probably more. It will probably happen outside the US to start with, possibly Japan. However I've read about US citizens having some very basic recreational implants in their fingers, not done by professional surgeons but by skilled body piercers.
The holographic, almost real, billboard, in essence is a very real possibility. MrFusion, is not. The food rehydrator and the miniature fruit garden are also likely to be a long way off, the fruit garden is likely to be genetically engineered and that has quite a bit of stigma.
Video conferencing at home is definitely a possibility, by 2015.

I've heard that a new style of mobile phone is due for release some time in the next few years - it has a screen that folds out (like a fabric one), so you can see huge images on it, and thus download films and watch them really easily.. apparently!
As far as flying skate boards are concerned, in theory they are possible, but they would need a runway area to gain enough velocity to propel the board above ground, and then would need to go at a hugely fast speed in order to stay off the ground (the speed would have to counteract the gravitational pull acting upon the rider!)
It'll be fun to find out, won't it... cept I've suddenly realised, I'll be 33 by then, and probably too old to ride them!

Given the level of 'stupidity' in society, the level of ignorance and basic careless, arrogant indifference too, any gadgets or technology that eases or erases these 'qualities' would be kind of nice. However, given that there are a number of communication tools already available to us, I'd like to ask the following....
A: What is it that is so important that you want to communicate it?
B: It's said that a piece of information can traverse the world in a matter of seconds, but - that it can take a lifetime to reach the brain of the recipient......
C: is this likely to be worth the effort?
Regards.
Sash.

In ten year's time gadgetry and technology will have advanced to the point where there are infinite mediums of communication available to every being on the planet. E-mail, instant messaging, text messaging and online features that evolved from bebo and myspace will not only guarantee that everyone is able to communicate with a keyboard but also ensure that no one anywhere ever has to actually come into contact with another human being and actually speak to one another using your voice. Social meetings and development will vanish and cease to be, we will all become interactive morons with no concept of manners, language or physical presence. Mankind will eventually forget what it was like to meet another person IN PERSON and speech itself will die out as we all adapt a new form of humming and clicking derived from the sounds heard while we spend all eternity in front of a screen.
Designed to bring us together, technolgy will only isolate us from each other.

Nanotechnology and part organic technologies which could do untold good in the right hands but will probably just be used to make your fingernail an mp3 player or multichannel 3D TV beamed direct into your brain. 10,000 channels of rubbish!!

Virtual reality media in all homes, flying cars, chips in all humans, computers that work by wave of your hand or even thoughts.
The mind boggles but it all could be true.
