At the time I am answering this question, the world population is estimated at 6,541,892,263 people.

There are currently about 101.4 males for every 100 females.

This ration is dropping and during the next 40 years or so the percentage of males will drop. See the site below:

Richard is right. Globally, there's a small surplus of men.

It varies somewhat per country. War can create a significant surplus of women, as in Cambodia. There is also a female surplus in the U.S. black population.

Selective abortion or neglect of girls currently generates a male surplus in China and India. Also, as the difference between male and female smoking behavior decreases, the life span of males and females becomes more similar. And less and less men work in traditional worker killing industries such as mining.

On the other hand, better health care combined with lower birth rates reduces the death of women related to childbirth.

But overall, I think the surplus of men will increase in the future.

through fact there is not any potential or physique of recommendations in "cherry choosing". image what the game could appear like ... fairly basically a mass of people working as speedy as they are able to up the sector attempting to catch a bypass (style of like American soccer :-) Why not basically enable gamers to p.c.. up the ball and run with it? And why basically a million element for a objective? Why not 3 factors for a objective on the sector (like... a field objective), 2 for a objective scored on a corner kick, a million for a penalty shot. yet then.... nicely, it does not be the comparable game. so some distance as seeing great performs ruined with the help of a stupid rule.. if the group became offsides, it became not extra a great play then if somebody hit the ball into the internet along with his hand .. even though it became an exceptionally effective finding hand ball.

Generally there are more males born then females althought by the time of mating the ratio of males:females is 1:1. This is because more males tend to die at earlier ages so we hav made evolutionary changes to make our rate of reproduction at a maximum and sustainable rate. then as we grow even older more males die at a quicker rate because the females are the ones needed for caring for the offspring. so at late ages there are more women.

I beleive the ratio is about 60/40 in favour of females, ie: there are more women than men in the world right now. Unless a nation takes steps to favour one gender in terms of conception (rather a hard thing to do without abortion at the date gender is established) this will stay muchhte same because it's most likely based on the probability of a baby being male or female.

i don't know the exact figures but it is approximately 55% women to 45% men. i also think that it will begin to even out as there will be less manual labour and more people sat at desks at less of a risk of things falling on them and killing them and so on.
